I dont know about you, but I had blast this past weekend. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday all turned out to be great days to be on the beach flying a kite. Even if the winds were not perfect, it was wonderful to be down there with good food and good friends.
Glad to see everyone who could make it out there. Was wonderful to see old friends, and meet new people. The wife and I are still going through our pictures and will hopefully have some stuff to post soon. I will hopefully have a zip file available for download as well.
Special Thanks to the Weather Gods for not raining on us on the beach! Also a special thanks to all those who cooked and assisted in bringing food. I cannot wait to see all the pictures and video clips that people got. Thanks again, and here is looking forward to our next event! Hope to see you there!

I had an awesome time on Saturday! I hope the winds worked out well on Sunday…it was sad to know this may have been the last session before the summer!
Wind report:
Friday – Sideshore at North beach (mostly south winds with some shift off the water but not enough to make riding possible around the point, tried and failed… Wished I had stayed on the North side of the point…)
Saturday – Started out with SW winds that eventually shifted full south. Not rideable around the point to the south.
Sunday – WNW Winds. Rocked the south beach at the Pier and had a blast. It did shift a little more west making tracks down the beach more difficult, but people were still making it up and down the beach without too much trouble.
Thanks to all for a great time! Corey and I enjoyed ourselves tremendously; great food, great people and good weather. I have a strap that was found under a cooler on Saturday. Brian said it belonged to someone with a de-power bar. Black in color, two small hopes on the ends with a larger loop in the middle; shoot me a mailing address and I’ll send it off to its owner.
Give me a bit on the videos, there’s a lot of footage to weed through but will be able to have something up soon. Pictures will be up as well.

Having traveled to Ivanpah and coming home with a blokart, I thought this weekend in w.w. would be a great time on the beach. As we, wife and I, were getting some things together for 2 days at the beach and 1 nite in a motel, my wife have a surfing accident. Seems that my 27 year old son, who doesn’t have money to get his own place, but has money for “toys and girls” ( I can relate) had 1 of his surf boards on the floor of our spare bedroom and my wife tripped over it, fell backward and broke her wrist..so Friday was spent in the hospital I want a rain check! Will meet you guys another time….ED

Yes you did miss a great time at the beach. Rain check is No Problem, you may have to wait till September to cash it in.
Speaking from experience, your son will never leave until you make it happen.
It is human nature to spend our money on toys and a good time if someone is covering room and board.
