Wildwood – 5 days wait, 4 hours pleasure!

June 5th 2009 | Posted by Don

I was in Wildwood (Apollo) last weekend, Friday to Tuesday for my yearly preseason vacation with my daughter and granddaughter.
Weather was great but no wind except Monday morning when we were rewarded for patiently waiting. SE 10+ mph.
I fell for some sucker wind Sunday night. Even put the BloKart together and went to the surf line but could not move.
Monday morning I was debating whether I was going to wast the time to put the BloKart together again for the light winds that were happening.
Ed showed up and answered that question. We had 4 hours+ of perfect light wind sailing.
My daughter picked up on BloKarting in about 10 minutes and we took turns sailing with my granddaughter on our laps.
A great time was had by all, maybe one of the best times I ever had with the BloKart.
Thanks again Ed for getting my butt moving!

Glad to read someone is still alive ;)
Good to hear you finally had a good time, also it shows that the blokart is for every one, young, old, dudes, chicks, ladies, gentlemen, no matter who you are in ten minutes you can learn riding a blokart.. Good stuff

What Don said is all true, Monday morning was great. I met Don for the 1st and only time in Ivanpah this past March. He told me about this website, so when I read that he was going to Wildwood, I decided to look him up. Found him at the Apollo, in a room that over looked the whole beach(some people just know how to live right). Took the BloKarts to the beach, and in about 10 minutes we were sailing. Being early in the season, there weren’t many people out, the ones that were, we sailed around them. Talk about sailing around people, Don’s daughter, who said it was her 1st time in a BloKart, was sailing circles around me. Any body have photos of her giving sailing lessons? And the grand daughter was also having a great time..I do belive it was her first time (what is she 2years old)?. Having sailed Hobie cats for many years, if I had to pick one, the hobie is history. But then again,I don’t have to choose. My hobie is (or will be by next week end) on the beach in Sea Isle City. I stay down about 3-4 days a week…if any body is in the area, send me an email, and I’ll take you for a sail. ED
