This weekend (31 January – 01 Feburary), there is an event taking place up at Tug Hill (Lowville, NY if you are using maps.google.com to look it up). If winds stay strong (decent predictions right now, Saturday 13mph in the afteroon, and 11-13mph on Sunday), then it could be a pretty epic trip for Snowkiting. I know some of you do not have the gear to do this, and for that I apologize. However, if you have the gear, and are interested, there are some links for registration, and maps of the different sites. Hope to see you there!!

I’ll be bringing my camera, but might be too busy riding to get many shots. I’ll see what I can do.

Count me in! Any carpooling plans?
Of course… We have room for one more… Namely you!
If anyone else wants to go, and would like to carpool, say something so we can attempt to arrange for it.
going up there too… we leaving Friday morning from NJ .. planning to ride afternoon at least an hour.. weather seems to be great http://www.jpweather.com/
where do you plan to stay??
I booked Ridge view..until Monday ..just in case if still hungry for pow power..
see you there..
Nice. We are probably going to stay at the WigWam. Leaving Friday afternoon and coming back Sunday, so we’ll see you on Saturday.
duloid, let’s hook up!
We don’t know where we will be riding. I really want to ride on the frozen lake but I might check out Ozone base camp to hang out with other kiters.
Look for ragden’s Outlaw kites in the air. It’s hard to miss. It’s a mean looking skeleton!
Me and the wife are leaving thursday night, so we should be up there for friday. I was hoping to stay at the wigwam but she dosent like the idea of shared bathrooms, so either the motel 8 in pulaski or maybe the comfort inn in watertown. If any of the days look like no wind we may head over to lake placid to ride whiteface. Looks to be like 2.5 hours or so.
Hey Barnes did you replace the bladder in your o-zone? If you havent yet i have a nice warm hangar and can help ya if you want. I might pull a few for repairs tonight before heading up there.
yeah man.
I when you will get there just call me and will figure out where to ride .. want to try out HQ Neo .. hopefully somebody will have it there.
my numero 908 656 1060
Sounds good bud, I put your number in my phone. I’m sure we’ll give you a call when we figure out where we will be riding. Hope to see ya there man.
Have fun!
Brian, are you taking the NEO along?
Hope everyone has a great time!
I will, Don. We are leaving tonight.
Wind Report from Wunderground says we have lots of wind this weekend!
Friday:
10am-13mph, 1pm-14mph, 4pm-14mph
Saturday:
10am-11mph, 1pm-11mph, 4pm-12mph
Sunday:
7am-13mph, 1pm-12mph
Just booked a room at Wigwam. We are all set!
Tomorrow (Friday) will be THE day! Ton of snow and good wind direction, West. We can run the entire pond from South to North. I am going for my speed record this time.
And yer gonna leave the rest of us in the dust (or the powder as it will be). Definitely going to be a time for big boards and big kites with all the snow they have. I can’t wait.
Eat my snow powder, suckers!
My valve is all fixed up! Granted it was bit messy, its ready to go!
Lets hope these valves don’t freeze again!
I’m hungryyyyyy
Hey guys, I just got here.. checked in and getting some food.. don’t have a service on my cell.. so will try to call you later..
Today was great. Did two sessions on the lake, and had a blast. Tomorrow is forecasted for lots of wind, and lots of snow. Not sure where exactly we will be going. Cell signals up here are not so hot.
Hope everyone is doing well. Left my camera at home, so no pictures this trip. Sorry
