Brian, I have a hard time sitting here at work and looking at your pictures ;) , I am not sure if snowkiting will be for me this year as I will first need to learn how to handle depower, but hopefully I’ll be ready to join next year..

Id have to say that was the best weekend of riding ever. I only wish i could have stayed for tuesday at Oneida. I think everyones riding got better, From me riding confidently toeside and getting some small jumps, to Jackie getting used to a big kite and making her first tracks, to Brian making jumps so high i thought he was going to crash into a satelite.
You guys have to make it up there. I think we are trying to make at least one more trip this season.
Jesse you should make the trip and learn it on the fly. I just cant express exactly how fun it is up there.

This trip was OFF THE HOOK!

Next trip will be either March 7th or 14th. With full moon on March 11th, we can do “night kiting” again! Sign up!!!

Guys, please keep me posted, may be you are right snobdr, I should just learn on the spot, I can snowboard and I can kite, what else is needed for this ;)

Just can’t promise… Is there a ski resort close by too? If yes, I could convince my wife to come as she loves snowboarding, she is just not into kiting that much…

In my opinion, snowkiting is the best way to get into kiting. Nothing like deep snow on frozen lake. You’ve got all the room in the world + no fear of water. Something happens, just “walk” back to where you started. Right ragden? :)

Jesse there is a ski resort but its small and like 45 mins away. My wife, Jackie, loves snowboarding also. This was her first time trying to snowkite. As soon as she got up and going she loved it. Even though she only went about 50 feet. Heck it beets paying for a lift ticket.

Yeah… you can walk back if you have to… but riding back, is a lot better… I’m so up for going either weekend… or BOTH! I’ll have a new board to ride, and I cant wait!

Might hit the lake here tomorrow, supposed to be 20-30 mph winds here in Canada. Plenty of snow on the lake, question is, can I ride my downhill board without killing myself… Have to give it a try…

Ye, duloid. How did we miss you? Ah, I remember. We invited you to KiteStorm and you said you had to work or something… No worries. We will hit the lake at least one more time before season’s over. Don’t miss that out!
