hey Don sounds good to me. Lets try to make it Saturday and Sunday if the condtions are right. And Martin,,, is that the new board?
sounds good to me too, will wait for the right conditions… yes that’s the new board … rides great… had new jumps but nothing crazy, because wind was too strong.. so didn’t want to risk too much.. hope will see you next time
btw nice picture … hahh who’s that sucker??
That works for me too. I’ll try to make it…I’ll let you know as it gets closer and everything starts falling together.
count me in for the weekend. I need to get some riding in.
It’s a little too early to get excited BUT, Weather Underground is saying WNW at 19 mph for Saturday at 1:00 PM.
Could be good!
It sounds good so far,, we will see. And Brian, you better be coming down.
Wind looks favorable for Saturday, but early low tide and cooler weather.
If it’s blowing, I’m there too.
I was thinking about coming down for the weekend, starting Wednesday night, however, that kind of stay gets expensive. Was looking at around 350 for 4 nights. Little spendy for the wife and I. That and weather on Thursday doesnt look very good anyways. Friday looks better, but not great.
If we dont come out Wednesday night (still up for discussion), very well might come out Friday night, and stay through to Sunday. Gotta fly this weekend.
what are the spots to stay? im thinking coming down friday or sat and staying.

My wife found a few others, but I was thinking about staying at the Bolero. You’d be welcome to crash with us, if you want…
edit: called the Bolero, wont be staying there… There are a couple other places open though. Will be making some calls when I get home tonight… If anyone wants to go in on a room, let me know…
has anyone checked out the beach? did it get tore up at all from the storm?
I was there Tuesday 11/17 and at the point and the entire beach along the inlet is back to where it was before they started any reclamation work.
Only about 10 million wasted.
Here’s a link to a couple photos.

The inlet beach is better than ever for our FUN!
For the main beach activities we will just head south to Apollo Beach.
Saturday looken pretty good!
hey Michael, we used to stay at the Quebec or Calypso Motel
http://www.quebecnjshore.com/rates.html
price is ok and when you pay cash, could make even better deal..
we might come on Monday and Tuesday..depending on conditions ..
…have a fun..and good wind
Nobody is answering the phone at the quebec place…
. I’ll try calling back later… Rates look decent though…
Okay. Slight change of plans. Might be down on friday, but I’m actually doing something for Thanksgiving. Question on Saturday, are we gathering at Crocus, or the Apollo?
What are the tides for the weekend?
You can always find Wildwood Tides here:
http://www.wildwoodbuggybash.com/wildwood_crest_peir_tides.htm
Tides for the weekend look, generally speaking. Low tides are in the morning though. 1000 Friday, 1100 Saturday, 1200 on Sunday.
Best to be early and take as much advantage as possible. I’m thinking South beach tomorrow… Crocus Avenue, or Apollo, anyone want to call it? I’m leaning towards crocus just because the stretch of beach north of the pier funnels the wind really well, and can be a great spot to ride in off-shore winds…
Any other thoughts?
Brian and I are on our way down right now. Be thre in about an hour. See ya there.
Looks like you guys had plenty of wind. Hope you had some good rides today.
I’m going to try and be there by 10:00 Saturday. W 22, oh ya!
Are you at Crest Pier Beach or Apollo?
Its about 5:30pm. Just talked to Brian, He and Ragden were there today, south beach and they said it was really gusty,, ragden had good time on buggy. Tomorrow we plan on being out by 10am… we will know in morning where we are going to meet. Brian is thinking North BEach but we will know in AM. We are hitting the beach Sunday also…….
yeah, it was crazy gusty. still, a little fun to be had. Only hit 27.2 mph. We did clock some gusts at 40mph. Hard to ride those out…
Hopefully tomorrow isnt nearly as crazy. Sunday looks light, but hopefully we can make something of it. See ya in the morning…
hey guys..looks like you having fun down there.. and today .. sun is shinning.. ohh I’m so jealous.. I’m thinking to go on Tuesday… but could go to Warminster,PA..
Snapped a line on my Official High Wind Access Kite. If not for Joe’s generous sharing of his BloKart, I would still be Jonesing for a wind n speed fix.
Lad, Anytime you need anything please just ask.
I’m always eager to make sure a great time is had by all.
Looking at conditions for Wednesday. Low tide 12:32.
Wind was light on Sunday, but I still got in 19.6 miles, with a high speed of 27.6 mph. Was a fun day to be flying big kites. Unfortunately the sand did not lend itself to landboarding very well… Buggy riders still had fun though.
Ok here is the video from Saturday at South Beach. (Pier)

well it may not be ready for about 30 minutes
Looks like you guys had fun! Great video Joe!!
