Who else can come out?? This is “addition” to weekend gathering we’ve been discussing for a long time.
Edit: ThanksGiving day (Thursday) ride has been canceled.

It sounds temping…..I may be able to get there for a few hours,,,,like up to 1pm or so depending on what time I have to go to my brothers for dinner,,, that might be around 2pm or so,, Let me know since it only takes me 15mins to get there…..LBJ…….
I’ll be there. Wife has decided she wants to stay home, but I’ll definitely be there.
Wind forecast says SW wind on Thursday, worst wind for any riding. So, ThanksGiving ride is a no-go.
Ok,,,its a no-go…ragden did you get that? Making sure your not making a trip for nothing. Now you can tell your wife that you decided to stay home with her instead of coming to Wildwood. Dont let her know it had anything to do with the wind conditions.
GAAAHHH!
I remember seeing a video of someone riding the beach on a west wind, is a SW totally unrideable? I’d think it would be better than TRYING to do anything in DC… Wouldnt the north-eastern portion of the beach be somewhat, maybe, quasi-rideable?
The area that used to be good for this wind was the point at 2nd and JFK blvd. Which is that area just the the east of North Beach however over the past year that area has been lost to erosion. So that wind direction at North Beach would make for very gusty conditions due to the buildings and such or maybe no wind at all there. If the winds were much stronger it may work but that dosent appear to be the case…You may just have to take a sedative until the weekend kicks in…..
Be hold! SE wind is coming!
When?
Sunday. hush… don’t want to scare it away…
Guys,
It is Thanksgiving Day.
It’s OK to pass up buggying for one day.
Be a homeboy and make your family HAPPY!
Happy Thanksgiving!
See you Friday.
The master has spoken and of course makes sense… But more importantly Sunday looks good. So Don will you be around for sunday also or no?
I would love to go..looks really great but have family at the house and can’t leave them alone.. hope next time will go.. enjoy it, guys..
I’m game for Sunday.
Bummer,
My Turkey is not happy he wanted to ride in the tandem Thursday,,
He will have to wait til Sunday.. or will he?
I dont know,, we may have to wait till Thursday or Friday to see who is coming down when? I should be good for any day or days. What is everyone else planning on so we know…as I say it should depend on the weather.
If you say its possible to ride friday, i’ll ditch work and drive out… Otherwise I wont be there til Saturday… but I will ONE HUNDRED PERCENT be there on sunday.. wont miss it for a doggone thing
The weather keeps changing. Rain days are moving around like players on a chess board.
I would like to Buggy Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Looks like we won’t know for sure till Thursday night.
Sounds about right… I’ll just keep my eyes on the weather report… Hopefully something will work out for us…
Id like to make it down there at least on day this weekend. I can take the job of weather forcaster, thats an easy one, like the real forcasters, ill tell you what its doing when im there.
L o L
Fair enough, not that it does much good for planning ahead… but okay.. at least you are trying…
if weather would be ok… planning to sneak out from family business and blow the brain..
Well this here is the night of truth… either i go into work tomorrow, or play hooky to head for the beach… winds dont look to good… might as well go to work, unless someone can convince me its worth the trip…
Weather Underground is saying W 14, 54 degrees at 1:00 PM for tomorrow.
Not perfect but looking better than Saturday (WNW 6, 45)and way better than Sunday (NE 6, 40, 60% chance of rain).
So I”m off to pack-up the Van for a morning cruise to Wonderful Wildwood by the Sea.
I will check out North Beach, Crest Pier Beach, and Apollo Beach.
I will be at the one the has the best conditions by 11:00 AM.
The Turkey was tasty,
The family time was great.
But tomorrow I do what really gets me off,
And Dudes I can’t wait!
