I got a text message from Dave saying it’s SE @ Wildwood. Checked with LBJ and confirmed.
It was 3:30 pm but my boss was out of town. So, I figure “screw work. I am going kiting.” Went home, packed up a landboard and kites and took off.
It was raining on the way and I was stuck in traffic. I am thinking “maybe this isn’t such a good idea.” But I really needed to get out. I really wanted to see the ocean so I kept driving.
On the way, I got a report from Dave saying it’s high tide and there is no room to ride. He also mentioned that wind switched to North. Crap! Well, at least I will get to see the ocean.
Dave and I met at North beach @ around 6 pm. We had barely enough room for two landboards on the beach but wind was direct on-shore, Perfect!
It was cloudy and had some rain drops but thanks to that, only handful of people on the beach = more room for us. As the tide was going out, we got more room. Had some good jumps. Not that high but I felt more comfortable with it and landing was smoother.
We rode about 2 hours. Totally worth it.
Where were you guys? (suckers……hehe)
PS. I was too excited when I got there and forgot to feed parking meter = parking ticket

glad you had a good time… Sorry I missed it but had things to do I couldnt get out of. I am checking the wind reports for tommorrow. Sucks about the meter ticket!
Nice!!! I need to see the ocean and pack sand also. With all the recent rain in DC the grass is getting really tall. Feel like I’m plowing and mowing instead of riding.

I havent been down there for a few weeks now. but september is coming,,,,,those photos that “barb 11″ took were really good,,, have to get her to our bash in October.
Argh… wish i could see flikr from work… lol
