Last night when I went to bed, I thought I would wake up at noon next morning.?? When I opened my eyes this morning, it was 6 am.?? (ye, it’s Saturday, remember?)
Couldn’t go back to bed without checking wind, of course.?? 13mph @ Dewey!?? Forecast showed no wind after noon.?? Well~ I can always take a nap this later.?? Left my place @ 7 am
Thank god beach goers are lazy!?? No traffic all the way to Dewey.?? When I got there, no one’s out.?? I was the first one.?? Took out SA2 15M with a small board.?? Fun Fun.
30 min later, a local kiter showed up and wind started to pick up.?? Changed to P4 12M with a small board.?? It was just two of us until 11 am when wind started to die out.?? 2 hour ride.?? Not bad.?? I would have taken even 30 min ride today.?? Had to get out.
On the way home, I saw a long line of cars on the other side of the road.?? What were they thinking??? Suckers…
Got home and had a nice salmon burger with beer.?? Yum~?? Now I want to take a nap but Jake’s looking at me like “can we go out now?”

Just have to get our butts out of bed to get the good rides.
Happy to hear you had a good one.
I can’t wait till Sept. to get back to Buggying and BloKart action.
I did do two days of basic Kiteboarding last month at the Outer Banks.
Played with a NEO 11.5. Didn’t get up on the board but should be OK for the next sesssion.
Holly Crapp…….Even don is getting into the Water now…. I guess I have to give it a shot this fall……..Nothing much going on here.
Don’t get too excited!
That may have been the only time I get in the water this year.
Unless I get to the Outer Banks again.
Condition are about perfect there for learning.
Winds are steady, and the bay has a huge expanse of 2 to 4 ft. pretty calm warm water.
Wildwood is much closer so come September I’ll be Buggying and BloKarting when conditions are right.
Remember: Wildwood Buggy Bash (fall happening) Oct. 2nd, 3rd, and 4th.
Don you have to get to dewey. Its a mini hatteras. Same conditions on bayside. If the wind is up we are always game.
I have to second Gregg’s comment on this one. I have been doing a lot of sessions at Dewey, and its a great place to learn. Winds can be a little fickle sometimes, but when its blowing, that place is awesome for learning.
We know you have kite control down, you just need to get used to depower, and then standing up. Come one down, bring a neo, do some body dragging.
