Sneaky, Sneaky!? LBJ and I had a great time today.? Here is how it went.
Until Friday night, I wasn’t sure if I was going to buggy on Saturday or not.? Too cold (32F), early low tide (9:30 am) and wrong wind direction (WNW).? So, I didn’t even pack up.
Guess what time I opened my eyes.? 4 am.? I was thinking, “I’ve been working hard…..ok working so I can kite weekends.? I will take my chance today.”? So, 4 am I started packing.? 28F outside.? Burr~? Right before I left, I sent an email to LBJ with my plan.
Arrived at Wildwood Pier.? 32F, WNW 20mph, very very gusty.? Started with Psycho 6M.? Mistake!? I spend about an hour just struggling.? At one point, I had to go into water to rescue my buggy.
LBJ showed up.? Eventually, he settled with 1.5M and me with 2.2M kites.? Great time!? At the end, my GPS showed 32.8mph top speed and over 20 mile run.? WOW.
Today trip was totally worth it!? Cold didn’t even bother us.? Now, I can go back to work on Monday and work hard again….. ok work again.

You guys are some sneaky Dudes. The conditions today made me think about hitting the beach. With tides that early I have to do an all nighter to get there early. I wimped!
It makes me feel good that the wind was not wasted and two of my friends had a blast.
I hope to share the experance next weekend.
Conditions are looking promising.
Sweet. If I hadnt already had plans for today, I might have gone too… Glad you guys had fun. Sounds like a great time to be had. I’m really hoping next weekend works out in our favor. Sounds like you had a blast. Nice on the gps!!
Sneaky indeed, though I suspect with my 3.5,both buggy and me would have had to be rescued!
