New Website Template

Yesterday I have uploaded a new template as you can see. I am still working on a few things like the side bar and footer, also I am working on a forum page and on a pictures and video page.?? Let me know if yousee anything that is broken….

Sorry guys, I was working on the new version of the site, to not screw with this one I decided to mirror it so I could work on the new template, but instead of mirror it I totally deleted the site!!!.

I had to go back to an older back up… so we lost a few posts….

Ouch!!!

P.S. I will try to get a back up from the data center, but I am not sure if they can provide that, worst case every one will have to re-upload his pictures video posts and such. In the mean time you can simply post as usual..

Hey Guys,? Haven’t heard from anyone for awhile….? Today I had some time to kill so I thought I would hit the beach.? Low tide was around 12:30pm and the winds were reported to be SSW.? So I drove by North Wildwood and as I thought it was too crowded.? Then I went to the Apollo Motel location and it was not crowded but the wind was real choppy.? It was like running over speed bumps with the three meter kite,,,, didn’t even bother trying to buggy,,, so I just messed around with the kite for awhile and that was that.?? Anything else happening with anyone else?? Any plans coming up?? Hey Brian what was that deal with the midnight run we were talking about awhile ago?? I think it was in July right?

Another minor adjustment

I changed the order in the left side bar, I switched “recent comments”? with? “recent posts”? so that we don’t have to scroll down to see if anybody commented on the posts. I did this because the 4 last post are always on the home page to see any way. I am also thinking about making a static entry above the 4 posts on the home page, to do that I will have to edit the template, and will only do this when I have usage access to my other computer, if I come in early at work tomorrow morning and I don’t have any immediate fires to put out, I’ll do it, other wise I’ll have this on my to do list (that thing is growing fast now with this site!!)

I have also created a new category (Suggestions) feel free to post any suggestions that can make our website better and more accessible..

Again, enjoy the site, and handle it as yours (since it is yours)….

This makes reminds me to create another category (Cheat Sheet) here I will post codes that can be used to create quote block post videos and each time I find a new one I’ll post them there. If anybody knows? about ways to do things in the post like the ones I mentioned, feel free to post them there too….. (please no hacks that can break the site …….)

I am trying out different plugins to create albums on this website using Flickr or Picassa albums.

Here is a test with pictures from Ryan. If you have pictures on a photo sharing account, please send me the link and I can create an album in a few mouse clicks. This function is not available for authors unfortunately (yet)

I have created this new category (pictures on the left)? for us to post pictures. when uploading pictures make sure to crop the pictures at 350 px wide, so that they fit on the page. I will look into a better option where we can upload and display entire galleries, I know that we can embed flickr.com galleries with a plug in, but I will wait until after the update, because I found out that some plug ins get broken after doing an update. I am not sure yet when I will do this update.

Fort he ones that haven’t noticed, there is another new category “site updates” in this category I will post new site features or changes in the site.
