It seems that since we got the WBB site on the Power Kite Forum we have abandon this Blog.
One of the purposes of this site is to get local Power Kiters together at Wildwood or other regional locations.
I will try and keep you posted on the times I , and most times Jesse will be in Wildwood.
This is usually everyother weekend when low tide is around noon to early afternoon.
This weekend low tide Saturday is 12:17 PM and the weather is looking good except a little cool (40).
I’m going to try and get there Sunday.
Pleasant Breezes,
Don

Dude!!, thank you for keeping our local site alive, this site was indeed intended for the lucky locals that have wonderful Wildwood Beach withing reach to keep in touch and make sure everyone knows when there will be others to play with on the beach.
You are right, I was in Wildwood last Sunday, first didn’t want to go because the wind looked iffy, but when no rain was in the forecast I decided to take a chance, called snowboarder and later LBJ (who wasn’t able to come down before 4.30 pm, when we were about to leave). The gamble paid off, we had a blast on North beach, smaller rides but super steady ocean breeze, about 10-15 mph, SnobDr on a 13 m and myself on my new 9 (slingshot) so both inflatables, it was near epic!!..
Don, I am down for Sunday, so keep me posted, or Saturday if conditions are better, let’s connect later this week.
Almost forgot to ask about the Peter Lynn Charger Deal on your website, it says to email you for more details, can you summ them up here or I can also wait I see you this week end. It seems that people like it or hate it, I had a blast last year on the snow with it, Also I though you mentioned something about the HQ Montana 5 a while ago, but on your site (previous link) it has the same kites as last month..
Any ways, we’ll talk about all this.
Hey! I want to play too! Im going to try and keep my schedule clear for this coming weekend….keep me posted……LBJ
I’m in for Saturday !!!!!!!!
Low tide 12:17, NW @ 13, that works and I don’t have to.
Hallelujah!!!!
I was looking at wind conditions for wildwood this weekend also. Good to hear that you guys will be there. Also talking with SnobDr about possibly heading to upstate new york for the weekend (THEY HAVE SNOW!!!!). Not sure I want to make the long drive either way… 4hrs is better than 8-9, but we’ll see how things pan out.
Might just do a day at The Bowl in Baltimore on Sunday if nothing else pans out…
Gentelmen,
It looks like Jesse and I will be in Wildwood at Apollo Beach buy 10:00 Sunday.
Winds are supposed to be NW 20 all day.
Low tide is 1:07. A little cool at 40 degrees.
Hope you can get away for a great day!
Don
You are setting up all the way down there? Why not at the peer? You think it might throw some wind shadow out to prevent a good launch? Saturday looks good too… Not heading out there that day?
Hey guys just getting started with blokarts and live in wilm,de. looking to get to the beach or other spots you could recommend, just curious what the bowl is in balt thanks
I just like the Apollo.
We sit there and enjoy our McD’s Pancakes, looking over the beach, get physiced, and Buggy into the sunset.
If there is a rare wind shadow, just buggy up the beach.
Hey Classic57,
Jesse and I both have BloKarts.
JBJ has one too.
If you can make it Sunday we will turn you on to some great BloKarting.
Here’s the link to the Apollo Map.
They are closed for the season but we have permission to hang out in their parking lot.
Hey thanks guys I’ll have to take you up on your offer to check the blokarts out later, have a previous appt.on Sun. Would like to find out more, where you bought them, and if you ever do any parking lot sailing. I talked to Fran in Haddonfield about buying one from him. Thanks again.
Winds are still showing 20mph from Nw for the entire day. I’ll try to make it Wildwood, too.
Did you guys make it? How was it? I ended up shopping all day Saturday, and couldnt make the haul (I dont do day trips to Wildwood anymore…). Hope you guys had a good one..
I met with Don, Jesse and LBJ and we had fun. We got on the beach around 11:30am. It was windy and cold… wind direction was good, but was really gusty at times. I was lifted a bit from the buggy, using a 3.5m Flexifoil Rage with a strop. I left for home around 4pm.
Glad to hear you guys got down there and at least got to ride. Maybe I’ll be able to make it next time…
Hey guys, I lucked out this past weekend with a buggy session at Southwick on Sat., and a snowkite session on Sunday. Temp. on Sat was high 20′s with 10-15 mph wind, Sun. high temp was in the low 20′s, I was still sweating! Man am I outta shape!
This past Sunday in Wildwood was really good. Yes it was a bit cold but not bad at all.. Wind was strong and gusty. Don and I had the blokarts going most of the time…hitting steady speeds of around 29 mph. Jesse and Tibi were braving the buggies and doing well with them…good day. Looking for some more….
It was indeed a good day!!, my fingers are still sore from hanging on on the handles, but it was all fun with a small kite..
@CLassic57, I got my blokart about 10 years ago in Europe, but when I need parts or new additions (like a foot extension bar) I get in touch with Don. Since he sells blokarts and parts as well it’s most convenient for me.
We mostly ride on the beach in Wildwood just because you can ride for 4 miles uninterrupted on good days.
Keep an eye on this site and ride with us one day.
Thanks for the info Jesse. I’ll give Don a call and set up a time to stop at his shop. I’ll keep an eye here on hope we can get together soon
